Head of Client SEO Strategy and Campaign Delivery Job Details
Your work will directly shape the success of our clients and the future of Direction. When you lead delivery that drives measurable patient growth, you’re fueling entire practice growth across dozens of clients. When you protect retention and margin across a portfolio, you’re proving what scalable excellence looks like. This role sits at the intersection of leadership, strategy, and client outcomes. You’ll architect strategies that keep clients growing, campaigns scaling, and delivery pods operating at elite standards. Your tools: leadership, data, process design, and a deep understanding of how SEO translates into patient growth. Your output: clients who stay, expand, and achieve measurable ROI.
You’re stepping into the role that ensures every campaign delivers 3x industry-average performance, 90%+ retention, and margin protection at scale. This is a fully remote position, with an option to also work out of our office in Austin, TX.
From a high-level perspective, this position is responsible for:
Leading delivery/execution of campaigns on time, on scope, and at margin.
Aligning client strategies with measurable business outcomes.
Driving retention and expansion across a portfolio of healthcare clients.
Standardizing QBRs, client scorecards, and escalation protocols.
Protecting gross margin (≥55–60%) across pods while ensuring client ROI.
Coaching and mentoring pod leads, strategists, and CSMs to perform at elite standards.
Acting as the first line of escalation for client issues, ensuring the CEO never gets pulled into fires.
Partnering with the COO to forecast delivery capacity and resource needs.
Role Requirements:
3+ years in SEO/digital marketing leadership (agency experience preferred).
Proven track record of client retention, growth, and delivery oversight.
Strong understanding of SEO strategies, reporting, and business outcomes.
Exceptional leadership and communication skills, trusted at both the client and team level.
Experience managing teams and processes at scale.
Strong financial acumen to protect margins and prevent scope creep.
Obsessed with clarity, accountability, and client success.
