X3 Sports runs five fitness and training centers across greater Atlanta. Members come for kickboxing, boxing, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, yoga, and strength training, with coaching for every level. The brand blends fitness, wellness, and community in one place.

Most new members find a gym the way people find anything local now, by searching. They look up a class or “gym near me,” then read and compare before they walk in.

Why This Atlanta Gym Wasn't Getting Enough Leads From Search

X3 Sports already had a presence in search, around 3,274 visitors a month and 80 leads from it. For a brand running five gyms, that left a lot of local searches going to other gyms.

A gym grows on signups. Most of those signups start with a local search, and ranking below the competition for “kickboxing near me” sends that member to another gym. Five locations meant five local races to win at once.

Fitness is a crowded local market. Every gym, studio, and franchise fights for the same “near me” searches in the same city. X3 Sports had to win that fight in five Atlanta areas at once.

Their own pages worked against them too. Overlapping class content meant pages competed with each other for the same keywords, splitting their ranking strength. Sorting that out came before any new growth.

We tuned the class and trainer pages one by one, with tighter titles, meta descriptions, and headers. Where two posts chased the same keyword, we merged them into one stronger page and set up 301 redirects. Faster images and clean alt text helped pages rank and load.

We published guides for the questions people ask before they try a class. Pieces like “What Is BJJ” brought in beginners, while workout guides like the cardio boxing regimen pulled high-intent fitness searches. Each one positioned X3 Sports as the local authority on its classes.

Most gym searches carry local intent, so we rebuilt the page for each of the five locations. Every page targeted its own area and class lineup, with local business schema so Google could place it on the map. We added local keywords and fixed the broken links dragging pages down.

Then we worked the map pack, where “kickboxing near me” and “gym near me” get decided. Strong location pages and a clean local profile are what put a gym in those top three results.

Over twelve months, X3 Sports turned stronger local search into more members through the door.

Start with the leads. Monthly leads from search grew from 80 to 140, a 75 percent jump in new-member and free-class inquiries. Those are calls and forms from people ready to train.
