Craft Body Scan Was Invisible for Its Highest-Intent Searches

Every day, there are people who want to catch issues such as heart disease, cancer, and aneurysms before symptoms show. The problem is that Craft Body Scan only had 27 kewords ranking on page one.

They were a startup opening new locations in competitive areas. Hospital systems and national chains owned the search results. Someone typing “cost of a body scan” or “body scans near me” landed on large, established competitors.

The new locations launched with almost no local visibility.

What Was Holding the Rankings Back?

Craft had the scanners, the radiologists, and a real preventive-health story. The website didn’t have pages for the way patients search for any of it.

The ideal patients actively searching had nothing built to catch them. Someone typing “CT scan Austin cost” or “full-body MRI near me” landed on a generic services page written for people already on the site.

Expansion metros were worse. New-city location pages were thin or non-existent, rankings were near-0 in local search. Competitors ranked well in the local map pack in those cities. It was time to beat them out.

Preventive imaging is a crowded category to rank in. Hospital systems, national scan chains, and “near me” aggregators sit on top of the searches that matter. If you run a local healthcare service, you already know the math.

The campaign went live in November 2024. By its first year, the three numbers Craft watches had all moved.

Those numbers feed the one business outcome Craft cares about: booked scans across each location. They’ve now built a steady flow of daily scan inquiries.

Page-one keywords shot up from 27 to 9,136. Organic traffic rose 1,682 %. And the momentum keeps building month over month.

Over the trailing six months, Google Search Console clicks climbed from 126,000 to 385,000, a 206% jump, and impressions ran from 10 million to 49.3 million, up 393%.
